I am a MOM!
Say it with conviction and say it like you mean it.
I always teach Levi that the upside down i, is used for special times.
For saying things strongly; saying something with expression, anger or excitement.
And we all know ladies, that being a MOM brings excitement, expression-
And yes, sometimes anger.
Today I experienced exhilaration with each of my boys.
I had alone time with Levi in the morning.
And then alone time with Silas in the afternoon.
I spent the day with Levi on a hike. He loved it.
I think that Levi and I were the only ones who were sad to leave early.
It started pouring, so the teacher decided it was time to go.
Levi and I were decked out in our RED RIDING HOOD raincoats-
So we were not ready to leave.
I loved it that my son wanted to stay in the pouring rain.
And he only had one 'grumpy pants' moment. As seen in the picture!
I think I rubbed off on him?NO, not the grumpy pants part!
The stay in the rain part.
I will run in hail, snow, sleet, whatever.
That's my boy Levi!
Later I spent time with Silas running up and down a trail for an hour.
We chased each other and giggled.
We visited the 'DU Dus'- otherwise known as ducks.
He wanted to pick raspberries, and kept saying "meme"- which means MORE.
I kept telling him they were old. They had dwindled away....No growth left.
This got me thinking about my job as a mom.
No matter the season, I want to help my children grow- like lush raspberries growing in season.
I can stifle their growth by being an ol' prickle bush or a thorn.
All I know, is that I want to love my children as much as I can.
Giggle with them as much as I can.
Play with them as much as I can.
And I can do all this because....
I AM A MOM!!!!!!!
