Here goes the complaining....blah, blah, blah.
I know what you are thinking...
"I have no sympathy for someone who was in Hawaii for 10 days..."
Ok, you have a point, but really, can I please go back to warm weather?
I did not need anyone pushing me out the door to go for a run at 6 oclock in the morning.
I SPRANG out of bed like a Jack N" The BOX on steroids.
This morning I was more like a Jack N THE BOX in need of some serious VIAGRA.
Did I just say that?
Sorry.
SORRY that it is raining today.
I was not so motivated to do my 10 miler.
RAIN, COLD, and of all things....wearing the good ol' RUNNING TIGHTS.
In HAWAII JUST ONE WEEK AGO, I was wearing shorts and a sports bra.
AND I WAS LEAKING AT THE END OF MY RACE,
LIKE a strainer with extra large holes.
SO today, I am leaking tears, if anything.
I feel like a kid, or more like a baby, who does not get their way.
My son Levi feels my pain.
Upon arrival in Vancouver, my two kids were actually crying in the truck.
LEVI: "It's too cold!"- Tears running down his face, with such a crabby pants countenance.
Can't blame em, man.
I just have to keep it together cause I am the MOM.
Lots of good times though.
Levi was the designated photographer.
He took pictures with the new camera that OMA and OPA got him there.
LEVI is still sulking around the house.
He is convinced that he wants to live in HAWAII.
Can't blame em, man.
I would never have to wear running tights again.
BUT...
then my kids would never get to experience snow, and all the lovely things that go with it-
LIKE, making snowmen, snow angels, wearing winter boots, shoveling the drive way, drinking hot chocolate in a cold setting, and actually believing that it is CHRISTMAS.
Hawaii was not so good at convincing me of CHRISTMAS time.
I cannot imagine eating turkey dinner while hanging out at the beach in my bikini.
OR singing JINGLE BELLS, OR EVEN BETTER- 'FROSTY THE SNOWMAN.'
INTERESTING...LEVI believed that HAWAII did not even have CHRISTMAS.
ALL because of perspective and what the CHRISTMAS feeling means to him.
SO to make a whining session into a thankful session,
I am happy to be home!
Almost time to get ready for Christmas.
AND at least I am certain that it will feel like it here.
AND if anyone can find an ornament of running tights, please let me know.
They will look wonderful on my tree.

I miss the snow! My daughter loved playing in it. She loved making snowmen. My son has never seen snow. It doesn't feel like Christmas here with it being 80 degrees outside. I am so glad that I am going home for Christmas this year and there is a chance to see snow!
I'm glad you guys had a wonderful time!! Welcome home. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all go to Hawaii for a couple week each year, eh? Mmmm...
Hello!
Our children are very close in age. Your youngest is only 3 days older then my son. He will turn 2 November 30th and daughter turned 6in June.
I have only returned to running about a year ago. After I had my son I didn't have any motivation to do anything until I had to take a physical fitness test with my National Guard Unit. I barely passed. It took me over 20 minutes to run/walk two miles. I have only run two half marathons. One in june without the stroller in1:47 ish and this one with the stroller 1:59:21. It was easier without :).
I am very excited about the marathon and can't wait to complete it!
I hope you find some motivation to run :). Good luck with your run tonight.
Stephanie
