Marvelous mushrooms

So here we were, sitting down to a relaxing dinner.
As a family we were discussing what we have to be thankful for.
Levi is seldom thankful for what I cook, because it always consists of green veggies.
He is a good sport, and makes a half grunting "UGH" noise most of the time.
(He thinks that I do not hear him however.)
The times that I make 'kid selections' such as pancakes, or grilled cheese sandwiches,
I love to hear his reactions: "Is this what we get to eat tonight, that is it?"
"Hooray"
He says "that is it?" because he is expecting a first course of broccoli,
A second course of spinach,
And a third course of brussel sprouts.
So tonight, I thought should be ok.
A simple creamy noodle and chicken dish, which Silas ALWAYS devours.
And ONLY carrots and peas on the side.
Not too bad, right?
Oh, did I mention that there were mushrooms in the noodle dish?
(My husband will NOT eat mushrooms)
So we are eating and chatting away.
Daddy is telling Levi how blessed he is to have "the best teacher in the world,"
"The best mom in the world," "the best cook in the world"- of course.
And Jeremy is going on and on.
Levi pipes up and says
"Mommy you are so blessed that I am giving you all of my mushrooms to eat."
