Words From The Wise

Today I ran a 10km race.
I have not done this race for 4 years.
So I mentally prepared this week.
Seriously.
I used some Sport Psychology from my university years.
I actually visualized myself coming through the finish line.
And I even saw the finishing time in my mind. (you all think I am spooky)
The time I visualized was 43.23.
I used a lot of positive self talk.
The words of Levi chanting through my head.
"If it is to be-it is up to me."
Levi could easily be my sport psychologist.
He often says "never say you can't."
So today, there was no room for self doubt.
I told myself I would do it, and I did.
I think my time was 43.18 or something like that.
So I should have run around 5 seconds slower.
However; if I would have run 5 seconds slower,
I may not have got the LAST chocolate chip muffin
I was visualizing while I was running my last kilometer.

Way to go girl....I heard that you were top for your class and that overall you were third. Way to go.
I love that saying, If it is to be, it is up to me. How many times did we give those words to your father.

Your blog looks excellent. You will surely enjoy this. I am so proud of you.

Great job...on the run and on the blog! You are in for a fun adventure in bloggyland.

Your first post is so precious! They grow up so quickly...and you will always treasure Levi's words.

A fine start, my friend. I could've spurted coffee when I read you 'should've ran 4 seconds slower!' as if!!! What an amazing time! I can't even visualize what kind of gazelle goes at that kind of pace! You have some kind of gumption. Can't wait to read more!
